Tammy Ramos, JD
Executive Director
Tammy is the Director of Coaching Services for LatinaVIDA. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and Business Administration with a double major in Spanish from Saint Mary’s College of California. Tammy has over 20 years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, career consulting, workshop facilitation and university teaching. She is especially adept at coaching through difficult situations and partnering with people to develop resiliency and positive outcomes. She leverages her intuition and experience to bring a high level of integrity, professionalism, energy and a breadth of life and career experience to support her clients. A world traveler, Tammy has visited over 15 countries and lived in both Mexico and England, speaks fluent Spanish and brings a wealth of knowledge about cross cultural skills, cultural humility, inclusion, and understanding the traditions and customs that define a culture.
As a first-generation college graduate in her family, she has a deep understanding and empathy for the specific challenges Latinas face as they enter into unchartered areas in their professional lives. She is passionate about coaching and mentoring Latinas on how to establish their executive presence, how to grow their leadership skills and how to advance to higher levels of achievement.
As a young woman first out of law school, Tammy faced unfair, stereotypical biases and she learned quickly how to navigate a variety of work environments. She has successfully established herself across several industries: corporate, law, academia, faith-based organizations and nonprofits, healthcare systems, consumer products and apparel. Tammy is adept at coaching Latinas in how to conquer bias, prejudice, and unfair assumptions no matter which industry or job function they are in. One key focus of her coaching is to guide her clients on how best to immediately establish respect and credibility which leads to promotions and advancements.
